Porto Santa Maria is located on the sea next to the promenade in the the old centre of Funchal “Old Town”; it faces the harbour used by cruise ships and pleasure boats. The cable cable car point is minutes away from the hotel, this links Funchal with Monte, Forte de São Tiago (a fortress built at the beginning of the XVIIth century) and the famous Mercado dos Lavradores (market).
