One of Madeira’s major calendar events takes place in Funchal every Spring; The Madeira Flower Festival.
For two days the main streets of Funchal are transformed with breathtaking carpets of colorful flowers and the air is filled with the exuberant perfume of Madeira flowers.
During the same period other activities take place such as performances by folklore groups dressed in beautiful Madeira embroidery costumes, classical music concerts and a variety of other shows. |
